Ten New Year – New You Healthy Recipes for 2018

It’s the end of the holiday season, no more cheese platters and cookies exchanges, it’s time to get back in the gym and lace up the running shoes. I have collected ten healthy recipes that are flavorful, easy to make and should fit into most sensible diets.  For the New Year I try to get off the refined carbs, high sugar and processed foods that are so ubiquitous during the holidays. It’s also time to cut back on the wine and deserts, I will miss them both but the fun had to end sometime or I was going need to buy new pants. Step away from the spinach dip and head for the piles of veggies instead.  Get your new year’s resolution off on the right foot with these ten healthy recipes from Cook Better Than Most Restaurants.

If these ten healthy recipes aren’t enough to get you motivated to eat good food that is good for you than I recommend you click around the chicken, seafood and veggie categories of the website. Or just try tweaking the recipes you already make, swap white rice out for brown rice or quinoa. As an alternative for potatoes with butter try roasted cauliflower with olive oil and herbs. Instead of frying chicken pop it in the oven or on the grill. Change out processed snacks for fresh fruit and veggies. Eating healthy isn’t all steamed vegetables and dry chicken. Happy New Year!
